Highrise Tower Posted July 13 Share Posted July 13 Miss E. Ferdinand Trichelle co publisher of the Houston railroad employees' newspaper, the Railroad Echo, founded the Emma R. News Boys Home for orphaned and homeless boys in 1910. She named it for her mother Emma R. Gilbreath. The home operated at various locations from 1910 until 1922. 1916 photograph.
