Highrise Tower Posted July 27 Share Posted July 27 What a rarity! I found a photograph of Henry C. House taking the orphans to the movies in downtown Houston at the Majestic Theatre. Photograph is dated April 15, 1913. I could never locate an official address, or even a map/master plan. If anyone has more information feel free to chime in! This was a 35-acre campus in what is now Woodland Heights 1913 location: W of Beauchamp Springs, n bank White Oak Bayou, 2 miles nw of city. 1917 location: W end Bayland Av. Wd. Hts. A map from 1920 specifies the Bayland Home Add. and then empty space below it. I'd imagine the 35 acre campus was located there.
