houstonray
Someone on another board said they saw a "Starbucks coming soon" sign on the North Loop, between Shepherd and Durham in the old Shell station...so I guess we'll have coverage from the North side to the South side of the Heights?? heightsfan
Yes, I also saw the sign of a Starbucks Coming Soon sign near 610 Also anyone tried out Waldos Coffee House on Heights Blvd ? Just curious about how many coffee shops near or around Heights ?
houstonray
Oh, and add the fact that most new Target's have a Starbucks inside the front entrance...so I guess we'll go from none to 3 in a few months time. Wow. Resistance is futile...
lilyheights
The signs are up. It is next to the Philly Connection on I-10 and Durham. (My husband just called to inform me that he saw this yesterday.)
takeshi
Can't you buy a pound of coffee at the grocery store for the price of a cup of Starbucks coffee? I think you've been had! I guess so but I normally go for quality -- especially with coffee -- rather than quantiity. Though I get my beans from Katz (the roaster on 20th, not the deli in Montrose). I'm not touching grocery store grade C beans...

Yes, I demand quality coffee....just prior to drowning it with flavored creamer. I swear, I am addicted to flavored creamers.
wendyps
I swear, I am addicted to flavored creamers. Anytime you are downtown and need a hit, give me a shout... I keep a stash By the way, in case you don't know... ITS OPEN!

The eatery's name is Som Boon Thai Kitchen. I don't know the restaurant's scheduled opening in the Durham Shopping Center.
AS_
I know it's on the I-10 feeder but I never felt this strip was a good spot for restaurants. Surprised Samurai lasted as long as it did.
