k5jri radio Posted May 19 Share Posted May 19 In a recent posting, one member extolled the virtues of the Baybrook Mall in Houston and characterized people who patronized the closer Mall of the Mainland in Texas City as being afflicted with blind laziness. A more contemporary example pertains to my family: our favorite Mexican restaurant offers specials, Taco Tuesday and Burrito Thursday, at its various locations. The closest location in the south side region of Jacksonville FL is approximately 2.5 miles from my home. The next closest location in the planned, upscale community of Nocatee, FL is approximately 15 miles from my home. The food quality, pricing, & service is the same in both locations. The ambiance of the Nocatee location is better, but requires a longer drive each way. The ambiance of the Jacksonville south side location is not as good, but the shorter drive each way offsets this, particularly after a long day at work.
