Urbannizer
The renderings online of the residential tower and low-rise components has changed. The renderings on the banner are of ones we haven’t seen before.
Popular Post Geoff8201
Wish granted for close ups… But as soon as I finish taking pics a guy shows up and starts attaching more renderings. Will edit or add another post later for the new ones unless someone beats me to it (which you’re welcome to, it’s hot outside!) I'm seeing two similar but different buildings so maybe these are the final concepts, or same building from different sides? Popular Post Highrise Tower
I'm a little late to the party, but wow!! Amazing renderings and graphics. Hopefully it really does start within the next few months. The new RO logo/insignia is really fancy!! Reminds me of the Rolls Royce logo! I really like the small buildings attached to the base of the residential tower. They look elegant. It appears the jenga style office building was changed. It's now shorter and has darker colors. Whatever works to get it built! Let's go!! 21
Popular Post CREguy13
Just my take, those small elegant buildings you're referencing appear to be for the Auberge hotel and private residences, not the multifamily. Again, I believe the plan is still for the office, multifamily, and hotel + residences to all be U/C at the same time. Ground breaking timelines will likely vary, but they should all be a go. Talk about a drastic change in the Buffalo Speedway/West Alabama corridor in just a few short years 😐 13

That property, the Birdsall, is scheduled to open in late 2026. It will include a 105-room hotel and 44 private residences. As at the Commodore Perry, the amenities will be accessible to locals who buy a membership to the resort’s private club. 22

Popular Post Geoff8201
Personally I wasn’t expecting anything around this time of the year during the holidays. Will be eyeing it in January and hopefully after 4-5 years of delays we might see something. Did an open permit search. Looks like Parcel 1 will have a 3030 address while the site as a whole is 3120.
Popular Post texan
From the RNR Bulletin: “Occidental Petroleum Corp. is planning to relocate employees into a new office campus that will be constructed on the R.O. development near the northwest corner of Richmond Avenue and Buffalo Speedway, according to people in the real estate community. A few years ago, OXY signed a lease for 972,145 SF in the Five and Three Greenway Plaza buildings until 2031. OXY is expected to move into the new R.O. building in 2027 or 2028. … ” Not sure of Ralph Bivins’ accuracy or track record but this is huge if true. 17
Popular Post J Money
Vikki Hollub mentioned during a recent report that Oxy was looking to consolidate on one campus, just north of the existing Greenway office. There was a lot of suspicion that it would be at the RO! This would have to be a pretty sizeable development. Exactly...not even prep to break ground and I just checked and Transwestern is not ramping up their job listings to work on this project. Just a little bold for a company to announce that. many of the their workers won't even be there anymore when the move!

You really can't please everyone haha This is accurate reporting, apparently a memo went out not long ago within Oxy on these very details. Having this level of corporate campus is a total game changer for the RO development. The Oxy news is also a recent update and is 'in addition' to the build-to-suit office building (another awesome tenant). This is going to be an incredible urban development, anchored by 2 great corporate tenants. So much of the interest from these companies to relocate to the RO is primarily the walkability of an urban campus with housing, lodging and retail/restaurants on-site. So cheer up @shasta, there will be a lot of construction soon! 13
